Central Java Province Strategic Commodity Trade Distribution Pattern

The 2020 National Police survey covered four main commodities, namely rice, red chilies, shallots and purebred chicken. The Poldis Survey shows the main pattern of trade distribution for the four main commodities in Central Java.

Rice Commodity consists of 2 chains (Producer → Retailer → End Consumer)

Commodity Red chili consists of 4 chains (Farmer → Collector Trader → Wholesaler → Retailer → End Consumer)

The shallot commodity consists of 3 chains (Farmers → Wholesalers → Retailers → End Consumers)

Commodity Chicken meat consists of 2 chains (Producer → Retailer → End Consumer).

The trade and transportation margin (MPP) of the four main commodities of Central Java Province in 2019, namely rice amounting to 9.32 percent; red chilies 34.25 percent; red onion 23.85 percent; and chicken meat 21.57 percent.
