Abstract
In April 2021, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.04
percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.05. Of the six CPI cities in
Central Java, five cities experienced inflation and one city experienced
deflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Tegal at 0.08 percent
with the CPI at 106.39 and the city experiencing deflation was Kudus at 0.07
percent with the CPI at 105.16.
The main cause of inflation in Central Java in April 2021 is
the increase in prices for broiled chicken, oranges, eggs, filter clove
cigarettes and cooking oil. The main barrier to inflation in Central Java is
the decline in prices for chili peppers, red chilies, rice, shallots and cars
