Abstract

In January 2022, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.43 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.76. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kudus City at 0.77 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Semarang City at 0.31 percent with a CPI of 107.82.

The main cause of inflation in Central Java in January 2022 was the increase in prices for broiler meat, rice, household fuel, powdered/liquid detergent soap, and cooking oil.
