Abstract

The nominal wage is the average daily wage receives as remuneration.
Real wage represents the purchasing power from remuneration received by the laborer.
The real wage of a farm laborer is the ratio between the farm laborer‘s nominal wage and the price index of household consumption (IKRT). In contrast, the real wage of a construction worker is the ratio between the nominal wages of construction workers and the urban consumer price index.
In December 2022, the national average nominal wage of farm laborers per day increased by 0.22 percent compared to November 2022, from Rp59,096.00 to Rp59,226.00. Meanwhile, the real wage per day decreased by 0.73 percent.
In December 2022, the national average nominal wage of construction workers (skilled non-foreman) per day increased by 0.04 percent compared to November 2022, from Rp94,034.00 to Rp94,072.00. Meanwhile, the real wage per day decreased by 0.62 percent.
