Abstract

In December 2022, a combination of six cities in Central Java experienced an inflation of 0.47 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.34. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tegal City by 0.61 percent with a CPI of 114.70 and the lowest inflation occurred in Kudus by 0.40 percent with a CPI of 113.12.
  • The main cause of December 2022 inflation is the increase in the prices of rice, eggs, gold jewelry, cooking oil and purebred chicken meat. The main restraint to inflation was the lower prices for air freight, spinach, oranges, kale and long beans.
