Abstract

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in September 2023 was 5.0 million, a decrease of 3.90 percent compared to August 2023. International air transport passengers decreased by 3.74 percent to 1.4 million. From January to September 2023, the number of domestic air transport passengers was 46.6 million, increasing by 22.27 percent. The number of international air transport passengers was 11.4 million and increased by 177.56 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in September 2023 was recorded at 1.6 million, decreasing by 4.91 percent compared to August 2023. The freight transported by domestic sea transport decreased by 0.40 percent, turning 30.3 million tons. From January to September 2023, the number of domestic sea transport passengers reached 14.8 million and increased by 12.06 percent compared to the same period in 2022. Meanwhile, freight increased by 9.54 percent, reaching 261.0 million tons.
The number of railway passengers departing in September 2023 was 31.5 million people, which increased by 0.62 percent compared to August 2023. On the contrary, freight transported by train decreased by 6.49 percent to 5.5 million tons. The number of passengers reached 270.0 million from January to September 2023 and increased by 40.06 percent compared to the same period in 2022. Moreover, the cumulative freight transported by train rose by 9.96 percent to 49.7 million tons.
