Abstract

In December 2024, the year-on-year (y-on-y) change in the National General Wholesale Price Index (IHPB) was 1.98 percent against the IHPB in December 2023. The highest increase in IHPB occurred in the Industrial Sector, namely 2.12 percent.
Several commodities that will experience price increases year on year (y-on-y) in December 2024 include: palm oil, cooking oil, kretek cigarettes with filters, coffee and cocoa.
The change in IHPB month to month (m-to-m) December 2024 was 0.39 percent and the change in IHPB calendar year (y-to-d) December 2024 was 1.98 percent.
The change in IHPB for Building/Construction Materials year on year (y-on-y) in December 2024 was 0.72 percent compared to December 2023, partly due to increases in commodity prices for cement, sand, building foundation stones, asphalt and floors.
