Abstract

In March 2023, Indonesia's National Wholesale Price Index changed by 5.44 percent compared to March 2022 (year-on-year/y-on-y). The most significant change in the index is the Mining and Quarrying Sector, which increased by 11.02 percent.

The year-on-year price change in March 2023 was contributed mainly by purebred chicken eggs, rice, filtered cigarettes with clove, petrol/gasoline, diesel fuel, and wheat flour.

The WPI in March 2023 changed by 0.27 percent month-to-month (m-to-m) and 1.16 percent year-to-date (y-to-d).

The WPI Construction Materials in March 2023 changed by 5.64 percent year-on-year, partly due to the increasing prices of diesel fuel, cement, asphalt, sands, and stone for construction foundations.
