Abstract

In August 2023, Indonesia's National Wholesale Price Index changed by 3.72 percent compared with August 2022 (year-on-year/y-on-y). The most significant change in the index is the Agriculture Sector, which increased by 5.18 percent.
The year-on-year price change in August 2023 was contributed mainly by garlic, paddies, sands, rice, filtered cigarettes with clove, and petrol/gasoline.
The WPI in August 2023 changed by 0.04 percent month-to-month (m-to-m) and 1.83 percent year-to-date (y-to-d).
The WPI Construction Materials in August 2023 changed by 2.13 percent year-on-year, partly due to the increasing prices of sands, stone for construction foundations, aggregate, cement, diesel fuel, and asphalt.
