Abstract

The total workforce in August 2023 was 531.20 thousand people, an increase of 25.52 thousand people compared to the workforce in August 2022. However, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) was recorded to have decreased by 0.01 percentage points in August 2023

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2023 was 4.35 percent, down 1.35 percentage points compared to the TPT in August 2022.

The working population is 508.09 thousand people, an increase of 31.21 thousand people from August 2022. The employment sector that experienced the largest increase was in the manufacturing industry sector with 15.12 thousand people.

A total of 261.51 thousand people (51.47 percent) worked in informal activities, down 3.64 percentage points compared to August 2022.
