Abstract

The total workforce in August 2024 was 566.08 thousand people, an increase of 34.88 thousand people compared to the workforce in August 2023. Likewise, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) was recorded to have increased by 3.88 percentage points in August 2024.

• The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2024 was 3.47 percent, down 0.88 percentage points compared to the TPT in August 2023.

• The working population was 546.46 thousand people, an increase of 38.37 thousand people from August 2023. The employment sector that experienced the largest increase was in the processing industry sector with 18.92 thousand people.

• A total of 283.47 thousand people (51.87 percent) worked in informal activities, an increase of 21.96 thousand people compared to August 2023
